I don't really like to do “Year-End” review articles or anything like that, but I've made a few little tweaks to the site and I thought now would be as good a time as any to review them, along with the status of the website. You are, after all, my dear readers and if anyone should care to know, I expect it would be you.
First of all, 2011 proved to be a great year for the website. I relaunched it in February with a great new design, and I've had nothing but positive feedback ever since. I tweaked the style of the site slightly in the Fall, and have made it fully responsive to different browser sizes. The site should look great no matter how big or small your browser.
Since February's relaunch, the site has had just shy of 30 000 page views! I can't express how pleased that makes me. The site also now has over 60 feed subscribers in Google Reader alone (I can't track feed subscribers outside of Reader, unfortunately, but if you subscribe this way, drop me a line). It's really nice to have people who like what you do. I feel very encouraged by each and every one of you.
Finally, today I've made a few little tweaks to the site, which again, you probably won't notice. I've added a visible date to all the permalink posts so you can always tell when an article or linked item was posted (I've actually always included the
<time> in the markup, but now it's also visible to the reader). Additionally, I've changed the style of my articles slightly so they can be more easily told apart from link posts.
Thanks again for reading!
